Based on his contribution to super Eagles, Ike Uche remain the best leg naija has in 2011. No one can blame him for the slide of our soccer fortunes. Nff and that Siasia is to be blamed. How can you explain a coach who brag about his tactical prowess doesn't know that if he defend a 2-1 lead it would give his team the chance to qualify for the nation cup.
Am back now to face any man/woman in here who calls themselves nigerian that wishes Coach Keshi to fail. I can assure nigerians that given the support he needs , Keshi can bring that change we all looking for with the Eagles.
The only reason he will fail is becuase of the dirt bags at Glass House we call Nff. Maigri, Chris Green etc. Has no clue how to move our game forward. No body is saying a word about marketing the team. Super Eagles is name brand that should be generating income for the federation if we have the right people in there. Instead, every thing is relied on sports minister and Government. When the Government gives them the money , they scimmed it for their selfish interest. Like $239,000 that walked out of the Nff vult in the glass House. Let have people like Odegbami, Amaseimeka, chukwu , oliseh and Kanu to run our football affair if we really want to move nigeria football forward. Grass root football is the only way we can develop our game. I dont live at home for the past 30yrs, but let no one try to tell me we have no talent in that land. We're a blessed nation with wrong people at helm.
Permalink Reply by ola2014 on January 3, 2012 at 20:02 I finally found something I will agree with you with onyia. That is replacing the NFF with competent football savy individuals like Kanu and the like. Kanu because he is the one individual who played at a high level for Nigeria and club. His dedication to making others life better through his charity work. Such selfless people is who we need at the helm of the nation's football. I also agree with you that grass root football is what will propell Nigeria not the bench worming mercenaries we have playing for Nigeria now. Where I disagree with you is your thinking that Keshi somehow is the saviour of Nigerian football, let us wait and see what he can do a year from now before crowning him.
What makes anything work is organization and management delegation of authority and give and take because one man cannot possess all the ideas . I have been involved in youth football both as a coach, administrator and referee and have seen enough to know that one person can ruin a good thing. I also know that ego plays a big part in ruining a good thing. If one person has too much power or influence the rest tend to cower to him or her just to keep their job or position. On the order hand, absence of leadership is equally as bad.
